Sound Barrier Funding Amendment to House Transportation Bond Bill
December 23, 2007
We have great news!
Since the Transportation Bond Bill was recently filed by the Governor, we now have the legislative vehicle needed to file our Burlington and Woburn sound barrier amendment in the House of Representatives.
Here is a link to a copy of the joint amendment that was filed on our behalf by Representatives Kaufman, Murphy and Natale earlier this week.
Representative Natale also sent a separate follow-up letter to Robert DeLeo, who is the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. A copy of this letter is linked here.
We look forward to Senator elect Marzilli working to file a similar amendment in the Senate shortly after he is sworn into office in January.
As we discussed during our last meeting on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, the filing of these amendments is one of the first steps in the process. We must be patient, persistent and continue to make our voices heard.
We will schedule a follow-up meeting in January to discuss our next steps.
We wish you and your families all a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year. We look forward to continuing to work together to see this through!
Best regards,
Chris Bortlik
